almond pound cake


3 C. sugar

3 C. flour

2 sticks butter/margarine

1 sm. can evap. milk PLUS

1/2 C. shortening

water to make 1 cup liquid

5 large eggs


2 tsp. almond extract

Cream sugar and shortenings.  Add eggs and salt and cream well.  Add remaining ingredients.  Pour into 12 cup bundt pan that is very lightly greased.  Put into cold oven.  set temp at 320 degrees.  Bake 1 hour and 30 min.  Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
