Traditional Chex pary mix

 

1/2 C. (1 stick) butter or

2-2/3 C. Corn Chex cereal

  margarine

2-2/3 C.  Rice Chex cereal

1-1/4 tsp. seasoned salt

2-2/3 C.  Wheat Chex cereal

4-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire

1 C. salted mixed nuts

Preheat oven to 350.  In 15x10x2” baking pan melt butter in oven.  Remove and stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire.  Gradually add cereal and nuts, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.  Bake 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.  Spread on absorbent paper to cool.  Store in airtight container.

 

Microwave Directions:

In 3-1/2 quart bowl or 13x9x2” microwave-safe dish melt butter on HIGH 1 minute.  Stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire.  Gradually ad cereal and nuts, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.  Microwave on HIGH 5-6 min., stirring every 2 min.  Spread on absorbent paper to cool.

 

Makes 9 cups.
